Our Story

Planting seeds that transform communities

ReNew’d Life Ministries Family Worship Center is a ministry established upon biblical principles and spiritual discernment, constantly deploying efforts within the communities in which we live and surrounding us, to empower and improve individuals and families.

We work strategically to deposit S.E.E.D.S. — social, economical, educational, destiny-steering, and spiritual fundamentals — addressing the body of Christ and the needs of the community. We believe that seeds will grow and produce accordingly over time, penetrating atmospheres, establishing climates conducive for change and progress, and producing cultures that transform communities and influence society toward the glory of God.

We are committed to the process of affecting lives and absorbing their present state until we have become influential enough through impartation and sponsorship to impact them and produce change. In this consideration, we believe the location of our property is geographically strategic, just as much as it could offer great exposure to help us achieve our objective of ultimately advancing the kingdom.

Senior Pastor

Overseer Frederick A. Purnell

Overseer Frederick A. Purnell is a gifted preacher, teacher, musician, and leader with a passion for developing people and building the Kingdom of God.

As Senior Pastor of ReNew’d Life Ministries Family Worship Center, he is committed to preaching the Word of God with truth and power while helping individuals and families grow spiritually, discover their purpose, and walk boldly in their God-given destiny.

With decades of ministry experience, Overseer Purnell has served in pastoral leadership, evangelism, outreach, music ministry, and church administration. His leadership is characterized by a commitment to excellence, order, spiritual growth, and equipping believers for the work of ministry.

A veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, he brings discipline, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility to his leadership and service.

Overseer Purnell is a devoted husband to Lady Clara Purnell, father, grandfather, and spiritual father to many. His life and ministry are guided by a principle he often prays:

“To whom much is given, much is required. Lord, help us meet the requirement.”

First Lady

Lady Clara Purnell

Lady Clara Purnell is a devoted woman of God whose life reflects grace, humility, and compassion. For more than 30 years, she has faithfully stood alongside her husband, Overseer Frederick Purnell, supporting him in life, ministry, and the vision of ReNew’d Life Ministries Family Worship Center.

Lady Purnell leads the Women’s Ministry, encouraging women to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and embrace their God-given purpose. She also oversees the Hospitality Ministry, where her warmth and genuine love for people help create a welcoming atmosphere for members and visitors alike.

Though she carries the title of First Lady with grace, Lady Purnell is never defined by a title. She is known for rolling up her sleeves and lending a hand wherever needed, often working quietly behind the scenes to support the ministry.

Above all, Lady Purnell is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Overseer Purnell are blessed with three children and many wonderful grandchildren, whom she dearly cherishes.

Her gracious spirit, love for people, and commitment to God and family make Lady Purnell a treasured part of the ReNew’d Life family.

Core Beliefs

What We Believe

At ReNew’d Life Ministries, our faith is rooted in the Word of God and centered on Jesus Christ. These core beliefs guide our worship, ministry, and daily lives.

01 The Triune God

We believe in one eternal God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Creator of all things.

02 Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His promised return.

03 The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present-day ministry and power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within believers, guides us into truth, empowers us to live holy lives, and equips us for ministry.

04 The Word of God

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith, Christian living, and practice.

05 Salvation

We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are in need of salvation. Through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness, new life, and reconciliation with God.

06 The Church

We believe that all who accept Jesus Christ become part of the Body of Christ. Believers are called to worship together, grow in fellowship, serve others, and share the Gospel with the world.

07 Holy Living

We believe followers of Christ are called to lives of prayer, obedience, generosity, love, and holiness. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, our lives should reflect the character of Christ.

08 Spiritual Gifts & Ministry

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and should be exercised according to Scripture and in love for the strengthening of the Church. We also believe in the operation of the five-fold ministry gifts given to equip the Body of Christ.

09 Baptism & Communion

We believe in the biblical ordinances of the Church, including baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and foot washing, as expressions of faith, worship, remembrance, and obedience.

10 Giving

We believe in honoring God through tithes and offerings and in supporting the work of ministry through faithful and generous giving.

11 Spiritual Victory

We believe that believers are engaged in a spiritual battle against sin and the enemy, but Jesus Christ has already secured the victory. Through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are called to live disciplined lives that honor God.

12 The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection, eternal life with God for those who belong to Christ, and final judgment.

Our faith is more than what we believe, it shapes how we live, love, worship, serve, and share Christ with others.
